Make a karaoke video where the words light up
Every word is timed to the singing, so the line fills with colour as it is sung. Upload a song, choose a highlight style and export an MP4 for YouTube, TikTok or Instagram.
Free to try. No subscription — pay only when you export. From $1.49 per video.
Templates for karaoke videos
The highlight works on top of any template — over a photo, a video or a visualizer.
How to make a karaoke video
- 1
Upload your song
An MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG or FLAC file up to 10 minutes long, or a video file — we use its sound. Use the version with the vocals: the timing follows the singing.
- 2
Get every word timed
The vocals are transcribed and timed word by word, or you paste your own lyrics and they are placed on the timing of the song. Fix any word in the editor.
- 3
Choose the highlight and export
Pick how the sung words light up, then a font and a look. Watch it free, then pay once for the MP4.

What is a karaoke video?
A video where the lyrics are on screen and the word being sung is highlighted. Melo.Video adds that highlight to your own song, with every word timed to the singing.
Does it remove the vocals?
No. The video plays your audio exactly as you uploaded it, and the timing follows the singing in it. It is a karaoke-style lyric video, not a vocal remover.
Where does the word timing come from?
From the song itself: speech recognition times every word of the vocals, or you paste your own lyrics and they are placed on that timing. You can correct any word or timing by hand.
Is it free?
Making and previewing is free with a free account, including 10 minutes of automatic lyrics; the preview carries a PREVIEW watermark. Each export is a one-time payment from $1.49 and has no watermark.
Which video formats can I export?
An MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio at 1080p or 1440p, in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. Each format is its own export.
