1. Cookies and browser storage
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser and receives back on every request, so the site can recognise your browser — for example to keep you signed in. Local storage and session storage are similar browser features that keep data on your device without sending it to the server on each request; we use them for preferences that only your browser needs to know.
We divide everything below into two groups:
- Necessary — required for the site to work at all: signing in, protecting forms, remembering choices you made. These need no consent and cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Analytics and advertising — used to understand how the site is used and to measure whether an ad we ran elsewhere (for example on Google or Microsoft Bing) brought you here. Off until you accept them, and switchable at any time at the bottom of this page.
We do not show ads on this site; the advertising cookies below only measure the ads we run on other platforms.

4. Analytics and advertising cookies (only with your consent)
We would like to know which pages and templates people use, so we can improve the site, and whether an ad we ran on another platform led to a visit, sign-up or purchase, so we can spend our advertising budget sensibly. For that we use Google Analytics and its connection to Google Ads, and the Microsoft Advertising UET tag (for ads we run on Microsoft Bing). Their scripts are not loaded and none of these cookies are set until you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner or "Allow analytics and advertising cookies" below. If you accept, the following are set:

The Microsoft Advertising tag may also keep the same identifiers in your browser's local storage under this site's origin; they serve the same purpose and are used only with your consent.
5. Cookies set by other sites during sign-in and payment
When you sign in with Google or Facebook, or pay for an export through Paddle's checkout, those services set their own cookies on their own domains under their own policies:Google, Facebook, Paddle. We have no control over those cookies. If you accept analytics and advertising cookies, the Microsoft Advertising tag also makes Microsoft set its own MUID cookie on its own domain (bing.com), under Microsoft's privacy statement. We have no control over that cookie.
6. Your choices
- The banner. On your first visit a banner asks whether to allow analytics and advertising cookies. "Necessary only" keeps everything in sections 2 and 3 and nothing else; "Accept all" also allows section 4. Either answer is remembered in
vivid.cookieConsent. - This page. You can change your answer at any time with the buttons at the bottom of this page. Withdrawing consent stops new analytics and advertising cookies from being set; you can remove existing ones in your browser.
- Your browser. Every browser lets you view, delete and block cookies and site data. Blocking the necessary cookies will stop you from signing in.
7. Changes
We will update this page whenever a cookie or storage key is added or removed. The date at the top tells you when it was last changed.
